I'm thrilled to share that my book-length prose series, All the Lands We Inherit, has just been named an Honorable Mention for the 2020 Deborah Tall Lyric Essay Book Prize, a biennial prize from Seneca Review. It's an absolute honor to see my name listed alongside so many other writers and poets I admire, and I feel heartened to know that my manuscript about family legacy, identity, faith (and the lack thereof), and generational trauma resonated with readers along the way.
My deepest gratitude goes to the readers and editors at Seneca Review, and especially to Jenny Boully, who was the final judge for the prize. And my warmest congratulations to Jessica Lind Peterson, whose Living Rooms Horses was selected as the winner! I look forward to reading it in the new year.
